Adding a Client Note
Client notes are a running log of anything worth recording about a client — conversations, preferences, follow-up reminders, or history. Each note is timestamped and attributed to the user who created it, giving your team a shared record that persists over time.
Getting There
- Open the client record (Clients → select a Client Dashboard).
- Click the Notes tab.
All existing notes are displayed in the table, sorted with the most recent at the top.
The Notes Table
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Author | The Kudurru Stone user who created the note. |
| Date of Note | Date and time the note was saved |
| Note | The full text of the note. |
| Actions | Pencil icon to edit the note. |
Adding a Note
- In the Notes tab, locate the note entry area.
- Type your note in the text field. Maximum 2,000 characters.
- Click Save.
Kudurru Stone saves the note immediately via the background and displays a confirmation message. The note appears at the top of the table with your name and the current date and time. You do not select a date — it is set automatically when you save.
Editing a Note
Notes can be corrected or updated after saving.
- In the notes table, click the pencil icon on the note you want to change.
- An edit dialog opens with the note text.
- Make your changes and click Save.
Kudurru Stone records the date and user of the last edit. The note table refreshes to show the updated text.
Deleting Notes
Notes cannot be deleted. If a note was entered in error, edit it to correct the content or leave a follow-up note with the clarification.
Tips
- Notes are visible to everyone with access to the client record. Write with the full team in mind.
- There is no category or type on a note — if your team uses a convention (e.g., starting notes with "Call:" or "Email:"), apply it consistently so notes are easy to scan.
- The 2,000-character limit is generous but not unlimited. For very long records, consider splitting across multiple notes by topic.
