Adding and Removing Widgets
You can add any combination of widgets to your dashboard and remove ones you no longer need. All changes are yours alone — they do not affect other users.
Adding a Widget
- Click Customize in the top-right corner of My Dashboard.
- Click the Add Widget button that appears in the toolbar.
- In the Add Widget dialog, click the Widget Type dropdown and choose the widget you want.
- (Optional) Enter a custom Widget Title — if left blank, the widget uses its default name.
- Click Add Widget to confirm.
The new widget will appear on the dashboard. You can then drag and resize it as needed.
Note: For Project Dashboard View and Quote Dashboard View widgets, additional options appear after selecting the widget type. See [Using Dashboard View Widgets] for details.
Available Widget Types
Standard Widgets
| Widget | Description |
|---|---|
| Summary Cards | At-a-glance metric counts row |
| My Projects | Your assigned projects |
| My Tasks | Your open tasks |
| Quick Project Search | Project number lookup |
| Quick Client Search | Client name lookup |
| Financials | Invoice history chart (bookkeeping access required) |
Dashboard View Widgets
| Widget | Description |
|---|---|
| Project Dashboard View | Embeds a saved view from your Project Dashboard |
| Quote Dashboard View | Embeds a saved view from your Quote Dashboard |
Removing a Widget
- Click Customize to enter edit mode.
- Click the × icon in the top-right corner of the widget you want to remove.
- Click OK on the confirmation prompt.
The widget is removed from your dashboard immediately. You can always add it back later using Add Widget.
Note: Removing a widget only removes it from your dashboard. It does not delete any data — your projects, tasks, and saved views remain untouched.
Tips
- You can add the same widget type more than once. For example, you might add two Project Dashboard View widgets that each show a different saved view.
- If you accidentally remove a widget, simply re-add it from the Add Widget dialog.
- Use the Widget Title field to give duplicate widgets distinct names (e.g., "Active Projects" and "Completed Projects").
