[Time Off](https://kb.kudurrustone.com/time-off?hsLang=en) # Creating a Time Off Request ## This article describes how to request Time Off Any employee can use the Time Off request feature of Kudurru Stone.  However, the employee must belong to at least one Time Off Policy first.   See these articles for managing Time Off Policies: [Time Off Policy Management](https://kb.kudurrustone.com/time-off-policy-management?hsLang=en) [Assign a Time Off Policy to a User](https://kb.kudurrustone.com/assign-a-time-off-policy-to-a-user?hsLang=en) From the right hand navigation you should see the menu item for Employee Time.  Expand that Employee Time menu.  Within that you should see a sub menu item for Time Off. ![](https://kb.kudurrustone.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Dec-04-2024-11-08-55-3807-PM.png?width=227&height=257&name=image-png-Dec-04-2024-11-08-55-3807-PM.png) Once you have clicked on the Time Off menu item as shown above you should be presented with the Time Off management page.  Near the top right of the page there is a button for "New Request".   ![](https://kb.kudurrustone.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Dec-04-2024-11-10-20-9195-PM.png?width=305&height=97&name=image-png-Dec-04-2024-11-10-20-9195-PM.png) This will then open a window where you can enter all the details for the time off request. The parts of the Time Off Request: 1. **Policy**:  This is the policy you are submitting this request against.  It could be Jury Duty, Bereavement or something your admin has setup.  In this example we have selected "PTO - 0 to 5 Years" 2. **Start Date**:  This is the Start Date for your request.  If you only needed to request one day off the Start Date and End Date would be the same.  If you needed to request a week off then the Start Date may be a Monday with the End Date being a Friday. 3. **Start Time**:  The time for which the request starts.  If requesting full days you may set this for 8:00 AM.  If you are requesting the last half of the day off perhaps your Start Time will be 12:00PM 4. **End Date**:  This is the date that your request ends 5. **End Time**:  The End Time is when your request ends. 6. **Hours Requested**:  This would be the amount of hours requested for the time off request.  In the scenario where you are requesting an entire day you may enter 8 hours.  If you were requesting an entire week you may enter 40 here. 7. **Request Notes**:  This would be for notes you want to leave for the person reviewing your Time Off Request. 8.
