How to create a Rate Schedule Item

This guide explains how to create and manage Rate Schedule Items, which streamline the quote creation process by providing predefined items with associated pricing. These items can be reused across quotes and quote templates to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Navigate to Rate Schedule Items

  1. Go to the Settings menu.

  2. Click on Rate Schedule Items to open the list view.

2. Add a New Rate Schedule Item

  1. Click the Add New button.

  2. Enter a Title for the item.

  3. (Optional) Add a Long Form Description to provide detailed context.

3. Configure the Rate Schedule Item

  1. After saving, you’ll be directed to the Rate Schedule Item Editor.

  2. Here you can:

    • Modify the Title or Long Form Description if needed.

    • Add a client to enable use of the item.

    Note: At least one client must be associated with the item to use it in quotes.

4. Set Default Pricing

  1. In the client selector, choose "Default Price" as the client name.

  2. Enter the Price for the rate schedule item.

5. Save and Use

  • Your Rate Schedule Item is now available for use in Quote Templates and Quotes.

    Tip: Use consistent naming conventions to easily locate Rate Schedule Items later.
