How to Track Mileage
This article outlines how to enable mileage tracking for specific equipment—like trucks—using the Equipment Manager. By requiring start and end mileage entries, this feature ensures accurate tracking of mileage during employee time entry.
1. Access the Equipment Manager

Navigate to Settings from the main dashboard.

Click on Equipment to open the Equipment Manager.

2. Find or Add Equipment

Locate the equipment you want to track mileage for, or click Add Equipment to create a new entry.

3. Enable Mileage Tracking

In the Equipment Editor, locate the checkbox labeled Begin and End Required.

Check this box to require employees to enter mileage data.

Save your changes.

Note: Enabling this option ensures that employees must enter both starting and ending mileage when logging equipment use.
4. Track Mileage During Time Entry

When entering time, employees should go to the Equipment Used section.

Select the equipment that has mileage tracking enabled.

A prompt will appear asking for the Begin Mileage and End Mileage values.

Tip: Make sure employees are trained to enter accurate mileage to ensure proper reporting and billing.
