Save Filter Defaults
On the Project and Quote Dashboard, the Save Filter Defaults feature lets you save the current filter panel values as the default filters for a specific Project View. Once saved, those filters are automatically applied every time any user opens that view — no manual filtering required.
Overview
The Save Filter Defaults feature lets you save the current filter panel values as the default filters for a specific Project View. Once saved, those filters are automatically applied every time any user opens that view — no manual filtering required.
This is especially useful for views that always need the same filters, such as a view scoped to a specific project manager, status, or date range.
Note: Filter defaults are saved per view and are shared with all users who have access to that view. When you update the defaults for a view, everyone using that view will see the updated filters applied automatically.
How to Save Your Filter Defaults
-
Navigate to the Project Dashboard.
-
Select the View you want to configure from the View dropdown at the top of the page.
Note: defaults cannot be saved for the default "All Projects" view — you must have a named view selected. -
If the filter panel is collapsed, click the Filters button to expand it.
-
Set your desired filter values — text, date, status, manager, or any available filter fields.
-
Click the Save as Defaults button, located next to the Search and Clear buttons.
-
A green confirmation message will appear: “Filter defaults saved successfully!”
Tip: The first time you visit a view that has no saved defaults, a small info bubble will appear next to the Save as Defaults button explaining this feature. Check Don’t show again to permanently dismiss it.
How Auto-Applied Filters Work
Once defaults are saved for a view, Kudurru Stone automatically applies them whenever that view is loaded:
-
Filter fields are pre-populated with your saved values.
-
The search runs automatically — no need to click Search.
-
The filter panel collapses automatically to keep the results grid front and center.
-
An Applied Filters bar appears above the results, making it clear that active filters are in effect.
This behavior applies whether you:
-
Open the Project Dashboard and that view loads as your default view, or
-
Switch to a view with saved defaults from any other view.
To see or modify the active filters: click the Filters button at any time to expand the filter panel.
Updating or Removing Saved Defaults
To update the defaults for a view:
-
Select the view.
-
Expand the filter panel.
-
Set the filter fields to your new desired values.
-
Click Save as Defaults.
The previous defaults are replaced immediately. All users will see the new filters on their next load of that view.
To remove all defaults from a view:
-
Select the view.
-
Expand the filter panel.
-
Click the Clear button to empty all filter fields.
-
Click Save as Defaults.
After saving with no filter values, the view will load with no pre-applied filters, the filter panel will remain expanded on load, and the Applied Filters bar will not appear.
