[QuickBooks Online](https://kb.kudurrustone.com/integrations?hsLang=en#quickbooks-online) # Migrate from QuickBooks Desktop Sync to QuickBooks Online Sync ## This article explains the process migrating from QuickBooks Desktop Sync to QuickBooks Online Sync Setup and pre-migration steps - Notify support before migrating from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online so Desktop sync can be disabled. - Complete your QuickBooks Desktop → QBO migration (Customers, Subcustomers, Employees, Item Services, and related records) before enabling QBO sync. - After your QBO company is ready, configure the QuickBooks Online integration in Kudurru Stone settings. How data maps to QuickBooks Online - Clients in Kudurru Stone sync as Customers in QBO. - Projects in Kudurru Stone sync as SubCustomers in QBO (do not use QBO’s Projects entity for the Kudurru Stone sync). Important rules - Do not have both QuickBooks Desktop sync and QBO sync active at the same time. - Wait to begin syncing with QBO until after migration and a support review so existing Kudurru Stone records can be correctly linked to the new QBO record IDs. Sync behavior and controls with QuickBooks Online Sync - Automatic sync runs every 15 minutes. - You can force an immediate sync from the Invoice edit page by clicking the Force Sync button. - QBO integration provides sync reporting within the Kudurru Stone interface to view successful syncs and reasons for failures. Troubleshooting steps 1. Confirm Desktop sync is disabled if you have migrated to QBO. 2. Verify the QBO integration is enabled in Kudurru Stone settings. 3. If records appear duplicated or mismatched after migration, contact support to have existing Kudurru Stone records re-linked to the correct QBO IDs. 4. Use the sync reporting in Kudurru Stone to identify which records failed to sync and the reported reason. 5. For an invoice that needs immediate syncing, open the Invoice edit page and click Force Sync, then check sync reports for status.
