Uploading User Signatures and Displaying Them on Your Quotes
This article describes how to attach a scanned signature image to a user record and configure your quote layout so that the user’s signature appears automatically in the Written By or Estimated By fields on generated quotes.
1. Upload the Signature Image to the User Record
-
Navigate to Settings in the top navigation.
-
Select Manage Users.
-
Find the user you wish to edit and click Edit.
-
Locate the Signature Image field.
-
Click Browse…, select the scanned image file from your computer, and click Open.
-
Click Save to persist the image to the user record.
Tip: Use a high-contrast, cropped scan with a transparent background for best print quality.
2. Configure Your Quote Layout to Display the Signature
-
Go to your Quote PDF Layout Designer for the appropriate PDF Layout.
-
Open the template you use for quote generation.
-
Ensure your template includes a picture box linked to either of the signature user fields:
-
Written By Signature
-
Estimated By Signature
-
-
For each placeholder, set its data binding to pull from the corresponding user’s signature field:
-
Written By Signature → [WrittenBySignatureImage]
-
Estimated By Signature → [EstimatedBySignatureImage]
-
-
Adjust size and positioning so the signature appears in the desired location on the quote.
3. Verify the Signature Appears on a Quote
-
Create a new quote.
-
In the Written By or Estimated By dropdown, select a user who has a signature image uploaded.
-
Generate the quote PDF.
-
Confirm that the scanned signature appears correctly in the signature placeholder area.
